Be Prepared

Yesterday we were really lucky to have an expert visit our class. Aidan's Dad who works for the Regional Council came to talk to us about being prepared in case of a disaster. We found out about the 4 R's... REDUCTION, reducing the risk. READINESS, having a plan in place. RESPONSE,  who helps us and RECOVERY, how to get over it and carry on. It was a really interesting afternoon. Paul cshowed us a slideshow of when he was in the RED ZONE in Christchurch as part of the Response Team.
Now we have some more ideas for our Inquiry.

Inquiry Experiments

The other day TEAM 2 had the opportunity to do some experiments around our Inquiry topic. It was aslo linked in with our writing focus of procedural texts. It was great to see hands on learning and students making connections! Awesome effort everyone. Add a comment on the Inquiry page and share what you did!

Snowflake Art

Check out our artwork. We sponged the background, cout out the snowflakes and added gliter for effect.
